One Billion Rising Festival
7th to 14th February 2016 - The Bread & Roses Theatre
With the OBR Festival, I produced an eight day creative campaign, featuring performances, workshops, talks and more; part of the biggest mass global action demanding an end to violence against women and girls. The festival had a majority of sold-out events and also raised over £1,500 for charities and organisations working to end violence against women. The festival received coverage on television, radio and various online magazines and websites.

UNHEARD FESTIVAL

UNHEARD is a unique new writing festival exploring themes around sexual abuse and violence through performance, which I founded and produce. It was the first project of Goblin Baby Theatre Co. in 2013 when it had two performances at The Space. The second and much extended festival in 2015 grew quickly and took place at The Bread & Roses Theatre. It featured 12 events spread over a period of four days, and included scratch performances of new short plays, rehearsed readings of new one-act and full length plays as well as a spoken word event and one-woman-show Maison des Reves coming all the way from New York. It was also also presented in combination with three V-Day benefit performances of The Vagina Monologues. The next UNHEARD Festival is planned for 2017.
